Description | WhakamāramaOn the banks of the Kukumoa river mouth, to the east of the Ōpōtiki township, Tawhitirahi pā is where Rongotangiawa and his people resided. Rongotangiawa's son, Roimainohorangi, was a young man when the group lived there. He owned a pet Tūī which was requested by a chief of the neighbouring Ngāti Hā.
